Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator in Snellville, GA to join our preconstruction team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil infrastructure and site development projects, reviewing plans and bid documents.

Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, analyzing labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor costs, and preparing bid proposals. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and estimating software is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and bid packages.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and heavy civil estimating software.

Location: Snellville, GA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: $120,000-$150,000

Overview

A growing civil construction contractor in the Atlanta metro area is looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This role plays a key part in preparing detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil infrastructure and site development projects.

What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop project cost estimates
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare bid proposals, estimate summaries, clarifications, and exclusions
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project reviews

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience estimating heavy civil construction projects
• Strong understanding of grading, excavation, utilities, drainage, paving, and sitework
