Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Civil Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy civil construction equipment on our Texas projects. You will perform pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and coordinate with ground crews to meet project specifications.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of verifiable experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license with CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and grade stakes.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy civil construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, compactors) per project specs.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE at all times.
• Read blueprints and grade stakes to ensure accuracy.
• Grade, level, and compact earth and materials per plans.
• Load/unload materials and coordinate with ground crews.
• Maintain organized work area and minimize environmental impact.
