Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Madisonville, TX, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team. The role requires operating a range of machinery, reading blueprints and grade stakes, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of civil construction experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL helpful), and the ability to work outdoors in various weather, with pre-employment drug screening and background checks completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years experience operating heavy equipment in a civil construction environment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B is a plus.
• Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, compactors) as required.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents to guide operation.
• Execute earthmoving, grading, trenching, and other heavy civil tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety policies, OSHA regulations, and keep work area clean.
