Job summary

PSA Airlines, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Heavy Check Engineer to plan, coordinate, and provide engineering oversight for scheduled heavy maintenance across the PSA fleet.

You will serve as the bridge between PSA, MROs, and internal stakeholders, ensuring inspections, repairs, and modifications meet FAA and OEM standards. The role drives reliability and return-to-service, develops repair solutions, supports troubleshooting, and implements improvements while maintaining compliance and accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in aviation or related technical environment.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance and knowledge of scheduled checks.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain a passport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee heavy maintenance work packages and repairs.
• Evaluate findings and coordinate approved engineering repairs.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting complex issues with MROs.
• Create/implement aircraft modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
• Maintain and update engineering records for maintenance activities.
• Act as the liaison between the airline, management, and MROs.
• Ensure all modifications comply with FARs, ADs, and OEM guidelines.
• Refine internal processes and reduce aircraft downtime.
