Job summary

PSA Airlines is seeking a Heavy Check Engineer to oversee scheduled heavy maintenance across the fleet, serving as the engineering liaison between PSA, MROs, and internal stakeholders. You will ensure inspections, repairs, and modifications meet FAA and OEM standards and drive reliability.

You will evaluate findings, develop repair solutions, support troubleshooting, maintain engineering records, and help minimize aircraft downtime while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of aviation engineering or maintenance experience.
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance programs and inspections.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to obtain a passport and work in the U.S.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Heavy Maintenance work packages and repairs for the aircraft.
  • Evaluate unexpected findings during heavy checks and coordinate approved repairs.
  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting complex issues with MROs.
  • Create/implement scheduled aircraft modifications and upgrades.
  • Maintain, review, and update engineering records and documentation.
  • Act as the bridge between the airline and MROs for engineering matters.
  • Ensure compliance with FARs, ADs, and OEM guidelines.
  • Identify process improvements to minimize downtime.
