Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking operators to safely run heatset machinery and manage yarn finishing processes at our Dalton, GA facility. This role focuses on finishing, quality control, and efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and complete required training, with preference given to those with yarn or manufacturing experience. Duties include daily production records, safety compliance, and teamwork to meet targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heatset machinery to meet quality, production, and efficiency goals.
• Function as primary source of finish application in yarn conversion.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
• Proactively identify yarn quality during production runs.
• Select and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Doff finished yarn packages as required.
• Maintain daily production records.
• Run creeling and winding when needed.
• Use black light to check there are no mixes.
• Attend job-related training as deemed by supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping and other tasks as assigned.
