Job summary

Transforming Age, Heathers Manor in Crystal, MN, is seeking a part-time dining server (approximately 20 hours per week). The role offers pay of $16–$18 per hour DOE, with a Tue/Thu 11AM–07PM and Sun 4PM–7PM schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems.
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, may need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar) as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answer questions and make suggestions regarding meal choices.
• Record orders and relay them to the kitchen production area.
• Be knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Work efficiently and quickly to deliver food to residents, assisting them as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• May assist with light back-of-house/kitchen duties (including such tasks as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed).
• Assist with clearing table.
• Observe residents to ensure safety in our dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
