Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Heat Treater to join the Dover Casting group in Dover, NJ. The role runs Sunday night to Thursday night, 10 PM–6 AM, with day-shift training Monday–Friday. Starting hourly rate is $27.22, rising to $29.68 after 12 months, plus a shift premium for off-shift work.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading furnaces, maintaining furnace conditions, and recording batch data. Benefits include generous vacation, holidays, 401(k), and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance experience is a plus.
• Able to read and understand complex work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads heat treating furnaces and inspects castings for cleanliness.
• Maintains furnace conditions and atmosphere to written specs.
• Uses heat treating fixtures as instructed and controls cycle parameters.
• Keeps heat-treat logs and records for each batch.
• Performs routine maintenance and assists maintenance staff as needed.
