Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Engineering Special Process Owner (SPO) related to Heat Treat, airflow, dry film lube, and structural component repair activities.
2. Provide technical expertise for Heat Treat processes, supporting shop operations to improve delivery, quality, safety, cost, and scrap reduction.
3. Coordinate with global peers to share best practices, lessons learned, and drive continuous improvements.
4. Industrialize new equipment and processes, including defining resource needs, interpreting Engine Manual, and enhancing manufacturing process flow and digital infrastructure.
5. Interpret engineering Engine Manual (EM) and Standard Practice Manual (SPM) requirements, establishing best practices and developing new repairs.
6. Implement LEAN practices to improve operational delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes and shop operations, or a high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in heat treat or related processes.
• Knowledge of LEAN improvements, GD&T, Gage R&R, and SPC.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with shop operators and leadership.
• Ability to collaborate within a global team.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting aircraft engine manuals and understanding MRO operations.
• Familiarity with IT and digital data management.
