Job summary

ATI in Cudahy, Wisconsin is seeking a Heat Treat Equipment Operator (SuperCooler) for the 2nd shift to operate an automated heat-treatment cell. You will load parts, monitor furnaces and cooling, verify quality and safely unload finished material.

The role offers hands-on skill development in heat-treat processes and a path for productivity-based pay increases. Training may occur on multiple shifts, and a strong safety mindset is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an industry with transferable skills.
• Ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements.
• Familiarity with heat-treating practices and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated equipment used to heat, handle and cool metal parts safely and efficiently.
• Review daily production schedules; stage parts, tooling and materials before each run.
• Set up equipment, verify tooling and part orientation, and prepare parts for processing.
• Monitor control screens, cameras, alarms and part movement throughout the process.
• Start, run and shut down equipment according to established operating procedures.
• Use lifting and material-handling equipment to load and unload parts while preventing damage.
• Perform visual inspections and quality verifications during processing.
• Make permitted basic process adjustments or escape abnormal equipment or product conditions.
• Follow safety interlocks, environmental controls, PPE requirements and housekeeping practices.
• Coordinate with teammates and support personnel to maintain production flow and resolve issues.
