Job summary

ATI in Cudahy, WI seeks a Heat Treat Equipment Operator (SuperCooler) for permanent 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will operate an automated heat‑treatment cell, load parts, monitor furnaces and verify quality while maintaining safe production flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of transferable experience, basic reading and measurement skills, and a background in electrical or mechanical trades. Training may occur on other shifts, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an industry with transferable skills.
• Basic reading, math and measurement comprehension, including the ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements.
• Prefers a background in electrical or mechanical trades.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated heat‑treat equipment to heat, handle and cool metal parts.
• Review daily production schedules and stage parts, tooling and materials.
• Set up equipment, verify tooling and part orientation, and prepare parts for processing.
• Monitor control screens, alarms and part movement throughout the process.
• Start, run and shut down equipment according to procedures.
• Load and unload parts safely using lifting equipment and prevent damage.
• Perform visual inspections and quality verifications during processing.
• Follow safety interlocks, PPE requirements and housekeeping practices.
• Coordinate with teammates to maintain production flow and resolve issues.
