Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Fort Mill, SC is hiring a manufacturing operator. You will prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parameter setting, and perform production operations in line with documented procedures.

You will inspect manufactured parts for defects, discard defective items, and assist maintenance to prevent downtime while upholding safety rules and PPE usage. High school diploma or GED is required, plus ability to read English and lift moderate weights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to operate basic machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have good visual acuity and be able to lift medium-heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parameter setting according to work order information.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
