Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG is hiring in Cheraw, SC for a production operator role. You will prepare machines for production, monitor status across sequences, and maintain compliance with procedures and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating medium complex machinery, inspecting parts for defects, and aiding maintenance to minimize downtime. Requires US work authorization and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: experience working with power tools.
• Preferred: ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and between production sequences and take action in case of deviations.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts; follow proper protocol.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
