White Oak Oil & Gas has an immediate position for experienced Heat Exchanger Field Technician

Responsibilities

The Heat Exchanger Field Technician will be responsible for re-tubing and cleaning heat exchangers and fin fan coolers. This role involves rebuilding and constructing new louvers both in the workshop and in the field. You will document job details while adhering to all safety protocols and DOT regulations. This position frequently requires fieldwork, with travel often including overnight stays, though returns will typically occur weekly. Be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Re-tube and tear down coolersJSA and Hot Work permitsRemove louver, grills or pipingInstall skillets or blindsTac- weld the heads onCut BracesPull plugsCut the tubes outChisel gunCutting torchKnock the tubes with the knocker gunPull ringsWash the heads outIn shop -Dry and paintIn field - Blow water out of the headsInstalling tubesSlide the tubes into the headsRoll the tubes on non-gap sideRe-install plugsRe- install bracesCut the heads looseHydro testRemove plug to drainRemove blinds/ skilletsInstall louver, grills or pipingExternal clean- foam fins and power wash fins.Internal clean- setting up of hydro blaster, inspection of hydro blaster, lancing tubes, and break down of hydro blaster.Cut tubes, measuring, use of chop saw.Sandblast, washing and painting.Build scaffolding and take downTravel 75% of timeComplete DOT logsWorking in the outdoor environment (rain, sleet, snow, heat, cold)Other duties and requirements as assigned.AdvancedCutting, torching, welding, use of welding machinesSet up roller guns and expandersRolling tubes on gap endreinstalling tubes with roller guns.Louvers- rebuild and build new louvers, aluminum weld.Minor welding- mig and stickReplacing bearings and fansOther duties and requirements as assigned.
