Job summary

White Oak Oil & Gas is seeking an experienced Quality Control professional. The role involves re-tubing and cleaning heat exchangers, assembling louvers, and performing hydro tests both in the shop and on-site. Candidates should be prepared for substantial fieldwork and overnight travel, with frequent time away from home.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Re-tube and dismantle coolers, including installing louvers and piping.
• Obtain JSA and Hot Work permits as required; perform hydro tests on equipment.
• Perform external and internal cleaning, including foaming, power washing, and lancing tubes.
• Document job details and maintain accurate T-Sheets; report daily logs.
• Travel 75% of the time, often overnight, and work in varying outdoor conditions.

Job description

White Oak Oil & Gas has an immediate position for experienced Quality Control Personal.

Responsibilities

A technician with a CDL-A will be responsible for re-tubing and cleaning heat exchangers, fin fan coolers, and both rebuilding and constructing new louvers, both in the shop and on-site. This role involves documenting job details and adhering to all safety and DOT regulations. The position often requires fieldwork, with frequent overnight travel, and typically returns home weekly. You will be exposed to outdoor elements while performing the following tasks:Follow designated routes and adhere to time schedulesLoad, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicleProvide delivery tickets to customers and ensure they are signed upon returnComplete daily DOT logs and reportsComply with DOT regulations and safety standardsObserve all traffic laws and regulationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsEssential Duties for Shop Hand:Re-tube and dismantle coolers, including:Obtaining JSA and Hot Work permitsRemoving louvers, grills, or pipingInstalling skillets or blindsTack-welding the heads onCutting braces and pulling plugsRemoving tubes using chisel guns and cutting torchesKnocking out tubes with a knocker gunWashing out the heads (dry and paint in-shop; blow water out in the field)Installing tubes by:Sliding tubes into the headsRolling the tubes on the non-gap sideReinstalling plugs and bracesCutting heads loose and performing hydro testsRemoving plugs to drain and taking out blinds/skilletsInstalling louvers, grills, or pipingExternal cleaning, including foaming and power washing finsInternal cleaning, such as setting up and inspecting the hydro blaster, lancing tubes, and breaking down the hydro blasterCutting tubes, measuring, and using a chop sawBuilding and dismantling scaffoldingTraveling 75% of the timeMaintaining accurate T-Sheets by clocking in and out of appropriate jobsPerforming other duties and responsibilities as assigned, while working in varying outdoor conditions (rain, sleet, snow, heat, cold).

• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
• Must maintain CDL License and must be free from any traffic citations
• Able to read a tape measure and understand measurements
• Must be honest, knowledgeable, punctual, and detail oriented
• Must be able to pass all safety courses
• Must have a clean driver’s record
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Must maintain a good driving record
• Must be able to drive a DOT vehicle
• Must know how to drive trucks, pull trailers and back up trailers
• Must be willing to learn new things

• Must have and maintain all tools
• May need to purchase other tools not on the list, to be able to perform your job duties; the tool list is just a beginning list.
• Must be able to move from lead to teammate as specific job requires.
