Job summary

ETS Staffing is seeking a Hearth Service Technician for an in-person role in Shelburne, VT. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on gas, pellet, and wood stoves and fireplaces, perform maintenance, and educate customers on safety and operation.

You will document work, track parts, and coordinate with the shop for replacements, while lifting up to 100 lbs and working in confined spaces or at heights. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar technical trades preferred.
• Willingness to pursue industry certifications with company support.
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on gas, pellet, and wood stoves and fireplaces.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleanings, and chimney safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance of heating systems, explaining service findings and recommendations.
• Document completed work, track parts usage, and coordinate with the shop for replacement components.
