Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Heart and Vascular Unit coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, in collaboration with medical providers within the Heart and Vascular Center including cardiology, surgery, and stroke care. This role supports a rotating weekend schedule in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with required certifications within 30 days of start date.
• RN degree (BSN/ADN) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.
