Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare in Maryland, seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Heart and Vascular unit. You will perform vital signs, assistance with daily living, and follow care plans under RN supervision to support safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications include a CNA or first-year nursing program, Maryland CNA license, and BLS. Strong English, lifting ability, and computer skills are required; acute-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first-year nursing program and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Effective command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Receive report from the Registered Nurse.
• Ensure a culture of safety.
• Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.
