Job summary

Texas Health Resources’ Heart & Vascular Specialist Clinic in Flower Mound, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time role. You will deliver patient care, perform vital signs, EKGs, blood draws, and assist providers in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The position requires CMA certification, a high school diploma, and preferred cardiac experience. This role includes travel to surrounding clinics as needed, with mileage reimbursement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA certification current.
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.
• Cardiac experience strongly preferred.
• Cardiac device experience strongly preferred.
• ACLS preferred or BCLS within 90 days of hire; BCLS required.
• Ability to perform EKGs, blood draws and injections.
• Strong communication and medical terminology skills.
• Proficient with medical software used in clinics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care using CMA standards and clinic protocols.
• Perform general patient care and prep.
• Greet and prepare patients for the provider.
• Record vital signs and basic patient data.
• Draw blood, collect specimens and perform EKGs when needed.
• Document care plans and test results in the chart.
• Communicate test results and care plans to patients.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Support front office tasks as needed.
