Texas Health Resources is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for the Heart & Vascular Specialist Clinic in Flower Mound, TX. This full-time role supports high-volume patient care with cardiac-focused duties and 40 hours per week, primarily days.

Expect EKGs, blood draws, injections, and chart prep as part of a collaborative team. You must have a CMA certification, a high school diploma, and strong computer skills, with cardiac experience strongly preferred and ACLS/BCLS training as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (required).
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred).
• Cardiac Experience (strongly preferred).
• Cardiac Device experience (strongly preferred).
• Chart Prepping experience (strongly preferred).
• ACLS – or BCLS – maintained per policy and upon hire (preferred/required).
• Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections.
• Basic computer skills using medical management applications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using CMA processes.
• Performs general patient care following standards and procedures.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
• Obtains and records vital signs and presenting problems.
• May draw blood, prepare specimens, and perform routine tests such as EKG.
• Documents care plans and test results in the medical record.
• Communicates results and plan of care with patient as directed.
• Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment.
• Escalates non-routine issues to the practice manager or provider.
• May assist in front office and perform other duties as assigned.
