Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains updated authorizations for all transplant patients to ensure payment to hospital and professional fees.
• Retrieves clinical data from medical records to submit to insurance companies.
• Participates in weekly team meetings to track patient evaluations and wait list status changes.
• Ensures patient registration follows CMS rules for transplant and live donor services.
• Reviews hospital charges to ensure payment by the appropriate entity (hospital or transplant).
