Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse for the Advanced Heart Program. The Transplant Coordinator coordinates the complex logistics of organ transplantation while prioritizing patient safety and the donor/recipient journey.

The role leads the transplant/VAD evaluation, process and follow-up care, and provides clinical leadership to the care team to plan, direct, manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Virginia RN License valid in Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical management of transplant/VAD patients including evaluation, process and follow-up care.
