The role leads the transplant/VAD evaluation, process and follow-up care, and provides clinical leadership to the care team to plan, direct, manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Virginia RN License valid in Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) within three years of hire.

Overview:

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse for the Advanced Heart Program! The Transplant Coordinator plays a critical role in facilitating the complex logistics of organ transplantation while prioritizing patient safety and well-being while ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for both the donor and recipient. The Transplant Coordinator coordinates the clinical management of the transplant/VAD patient including the transplant/VAD evaluation, the transplant/VAD process and follow-up care. Provides clinical leadership to care team members, allowing staff to plan, direct, manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required)

Certification/Licensure

Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.

All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) required within three (3) years of hire.

Experience

Two (2) years of related nursing or transplant experience required.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $103,916.80 - $154,689.60 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
