Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the Division of Cardiology at Albany Medical College. This role supports the region's only comprehensive DNV-certified advanced heart failure program and includes collaboration with cardiology, EP, imaging, surgery, and transplant teams.

You will care for heart failure patients, participate in teaching, and have potential for an academic appointment in New York. Competitive salary with incentive bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Academic appointment eligibility with research and teaching abilities.
• Formal training or equivalent experience in advanced heart failure and transplantation is desired.
• Leadership and collaborative care skills are highly valued.
• State licensure in New York or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart failure patients, including transplant and VAD patients.
• Collaborate with cardiology and surgical teams across regional centers.
• Lead and participate in a multidisciplinary heart failure program.
• Contribute to clinical teaching and research within an academic medical setting.
