Job summary

Albany Med Health System's Division of Cardiology at Albany Medical College is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the region's only comprehensive DNV-certified advanced heart failure program.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery, and provide pre- and post-operative care for transplant and VAD patients, with opportunities for academic appointment and leadership.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for an academic appointment.
• Formal training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation, or equivalent experience.
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in New York.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients with regional collaboration.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, imaging, and surgery.
• Contribute to innovative, patient-centered care within a growing program.
