Job summary

Albany Medical College is recruiting a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join its Division of Cardiology. You will join a DNV-certified comprehensive program and work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing heart failure care.

The position emphasizes academic involvement, teaching responsibilities, and collaboration with regional surgical and medical centers. Eligible for NY licensure and academic appointment, with competitive compensation and incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Clinically oriented with research and teaching experience to be eligible for an academic appointment.
• Formal training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation or equivalent experience is desired.
• Strong leadership qualities and collaborative approach to patient care.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with students, residents, fellows, and other providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients in collaboration with regional cardiac centers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, imaging and cardiac surgery.
• Contribute to a growing program with a focus on innovative, patient-centered heart failure care.
