Job summary

HearingLife is offering an Apprenticeship Program in Illinois designed to train individuals to become Hearing Care Providers. The program combines virtual and in-person learning, hands-on clinical practice, and state licensing preparation under a licensed Preceptor.

The role requires relocation within Illinois after licensing and offers a pay rate of $20-$23 per hour. The 6-month to 1-year program covers training permits, clinical introductions, supervised practice, licensing exams, and ongoing

Qualifications

  • Must have an associates degree per the state of Illinois.
  • 0-2 years of general full-time work experience, preferably in a patient care or health-care setting involving direct contact with patients.
  • Understanding of HIPAA privacy obligations relating to patient information and records.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license; some states require an Associate’s Degree as a minimum.
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with customer/patient relationship management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits friendly and courteous behavior in all customer interactions, builds rapport with Patients.
  • Maintains schedule and regular touch points with Patients.
  • Maintain active management schedule to prioritize actions and people interactions with timelines.
  • Conducts examinations and tests as part of patient assessments.
  • Provide follow-up care and counseling regarding hearing loss.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
