Job summary

HearingLife is offering an Apprenticeship Program to train individuals into licensed Hearing Care Providers. The program blends virtual and in-person coursework, hands-on labs, and supervised clinical practice under a Preceptor.

Participants progress through a structured learning plan, clinical hours, logs, and weekly reflections, with licensing exams guided by state requirements. Upon completion, apprentices may perform patient care within licensed scopes, supported by ongoing professional

Qualifications

  • Understand of HIPAA privacy obligations relating to Patient information and records.
  • 0-2 years of general full-time work experience, preferably in patient care or health-care settings.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license; some states require an Associate’s Degree.
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with customer/patient relationship management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits friendly and courteous behavior in all interactions with Patients and builds rapport.
  • Maintains schedule and regular touch points with Patients.
  • Maintains active management of schedule to prioritize actions and people interactions, meeting timelines.
  • Conducts tympanometry and otoscopic examinations where in scope.
  • Conducts pure tone audiometry, speech tests, and makes amplification recommendations.
