HearingLife invites applications for its Apprenticeship Program designed to train individuals to become Hearing Care Providers. The program combines virtual and in-person classroom learning with hands-on clinical practice under a licensed preceptor.

It covers clinical skills, exams, and licensing pathways across states, culminating in independent patient care after certification. The two-phase program includes a structured Learning Plan, weekly clinical-hour logs, and periodic training team

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of general full-time work experience, preferably in patient care or health-care setting involving direct contact with patients.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy obligations relating to patient information and records.
• High school diploma required; some states require an Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits friendly and courteous behavior in all customer interactions; build rapport with patients.
• Maintain schedule and regular touch points with patients.
• Conduct tympanometry and otoscopic examinations within scope of practice.
• Perform pure tone air and bone conduction tests; administer speech tests with/without masking.
• Make personalized recommendations for amplification based on patient needs.
• Provide follow-up care for amplification including adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs.
