HearingLife seeks candidates for its Hearing Care Provider Apprenticeship Program in the US Midwest. The role is a structured path to become a licensed Hearing Care Provider, combining virtual and in-person classroom learning with hands-on clinical practice under a Preceptor.

The program includes a formal learning plan, weekly logs, and certification processes to enable independent patient care upon licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to relocate within Minnesota or Wisconsin after licensing.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy obligations related to patient information and records.
• 0–2 years of general full-time work experience, preferably in health-care or patient-facing settings.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits friendly and courteous behavior in all patient interactions and builds rapport.
• Maintains schedule and regular touchpoints with patients.
• Prioritizes actions and people interactions with timelines to meet expectations.
• Conducts tympanometry and otoscopic examinations within scope of practice.
• Performs pure tone air and bone conduction tests with/without masking.
• Makes personalized amplification recommendations based on patient needs.
• Assists in fitting and dispensing hearing instruments and provides follow-up care.
• Complies with licensing requirements and supports ongoing professional development.
