Job summary

North Shore Community Action Programs (NSCAP) seeks a compassionate Case Manager & Certification Specialist for its Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). This 30-hour-per-week seasonal role runs September through June, with benefits and annual renewal based on funding.

You will support applicant intake, eligibility, certification, and ongoing case management with accuracy and courtesy. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, experience with LIHEAP/HEAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with LIHEAP/HEAP regulations and eligibility determination.
• Proficient with office software and able to learn agency systems.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Spanish preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative functions for HEAP operations.
• Conduct intake interviews and determine eligibility.
• Certify applications in line with guidelines.
• Maintain confidential client records and data accuracy.
• Coordinate outreach and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with renewal and recertification of benefits.
