Job summary

EAC Network in Hempstead, NY is seeking a full-time Bilingual Case Aide to support HEAP and WRAP programs for Nassau County residents. You will interview clients, assess eligibility, and process energy assistance applications, entering data accurately.

The role requires a High School Diploma (Bachelor's preferred), at least one year working with low-income households, strong interviewing and communication skills, and fluent Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or educational equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must have at least one year of relevant experience with low-income households.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) required.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess the eligibility of prospective clients seeking financial assistance with their energy costs.
• Process client applications, complete required forms, and perform data entry per Nassau County DSS guidelines.
• Interact with other agencies and heating/utility companies.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records and departmental paperwork.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer programs (Outlook, Microsoft Word, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision and EAC Network Administration.
