Job summary

North Shore Community Action Programs (NSCAP) seeks a Case Manager & Certification Specialist for the HEAP team. Support application processes, eligibility, certification, and case management with emphasis on accuracy and compliance. Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

The role is a 30-hour-per-week seasonal position with benefits, September through June, renewable annually based on funding. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with LIHEAP/HEAP regulations and eligibility preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and agency software systems.
• Strong organizational skills and data accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform HEAP administrative functions: intake, filing, and documentation.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding HEAP.
• Coordinate outreach, scheduling, and program information.
• Process applications through HEAP portal; conduct interviews with first-time applicants.
• Scan and maintain client documents; assist with recertification and renewals.
• Verify income, household, and utility data; ensure timely processing.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with EOHLC guidelines.
