Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, while keeping the kitchen safe and compliant with licensing rules. You will order supplies, document activities, and support daily center operations.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year of institutional cooking, two+ years with children, and a license or willingness to obtain a Food Handler's permit, with strong English communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must love children and positively impact daily education.
• Food handler license or willingness to obtain.
• 1 year institutional cooking; 2+ years with children preferred.
• Able to follow nutritious menus and measure portions precisely.
• Read, write, and communicate in English with kids and parents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks following menu/recipes.
• Maintain kitchen safety, hygiene, and equipment.
• Order food and supplies as needed.
• Document activities per licensing and program rules.
• Collaborate with center staff to support enrollment and engagement.
