QBE North America is seeking a college student intern in New York for a healthcare liability underwriting learning experience. The role offers exposure to professional liability, risk assessment, and insurance operations within a collaborative team.

The internship runs June 1, 2026 through August 6, 2026, with a hybrid schedule and in-office attendance four days per week. Pay ranges from $25.50 to $26.50 per hour plus professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year college pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Course work or relevant experience with demonstrated achievements.
• Ability to work from June 1, 2026, to August 6, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Learn and model QBE values through required training classes.
• Develop and implement coaching plans with manager support.
• Participate in weekly training sessions across QBE North America.
• Build relationships with underwriters, claims professionals, and other partners.
• Support underwriting activities by reviewing account information and research.
• Learn fundamentals of healthcare liability underwriting and risk evaluation.
• Gain exposure to healthcare liability products and risk concepts.
• Assist in analyzing financial, operational, and risk information used in decisions.
• Support agency and broker relationship activities through communications and meetings.
• Contribute to a positive work environment with accountability and collaboration.
• Support QBE values in behavior and continuous development.
