Job summary

QBE North America invites applications for a Summer 2027 internship in its North America Claims organization based in New York. This hybrid role requires being in the New York office 4 days per week and offers hands-on learning across claims, risk management, and related insurance fields.

You will work with industry leaders, gain exposure to daily operations, and participate in training sessions from June 1 to August 6.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at a 4 year accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; major not required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities or prior work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Learn claims process from intake to resolution under the guidance of a Claims Specialist.
• Review applicable insurance policies to understand coverage and contracts.
• Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, legal and litigation management.
• Attend internal and external meetings with Claims Specialists.
• Participate in educational training sessions.
