Job summary

QBE North America offers a Summer 2027 internship in its Marblehead, MA office within the North America Claims organization. The role supports Accident & Health Claims and Risk Solutions teams, with hands-on learning and on-the-job training.

You will work alongside industry leaders to build skills and a professional network. The internship runs June 1 to August 6 and requires enrollment in a 4-year college with a hybrid arrangement (4 days in Marblehead office per week).

Qualifications

• Enrollment at a 4 year accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Specific major not required, but this position is well suited for those majoring in Risk Management, Business, Finance or Pre-Law.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities, community service or previous work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Learn claims process from intake to resolution under the guidance of a Claims Specialist
• Review of applicable insurance policies to become familiar with these contracts and the coverage they provide
• Collaborate with internal business partners, including actuaries, underwriters, legal and litigation management
• Accompany Claims Specialists in relevant internal and external meetings
• Attend and participate in educational training sessions
