Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Training & Development to lead clinical, clerical, and medical education, staff development, and departmental operations. You will align education initiatives with organizational goals, partner with clinical and operational leaders, and drive performance improvements across teams.

This role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and technology-enabled education to strengthen both employee and patient experiences within MaineGeneral

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Maine preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Leadership or Nursing required.
• Progressive experience in clinical, clerical, medical education or healthcare leadership.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements and healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for clinical and clerical education, staff development, and medical practice operations.
• Develop and implement training strategies addressing competency gaps.
• Partner with leaders to assess workforce development needs and learning opportunities.
• Lead continuing education programs and other learning activities to strengthen performance.
• Oversee operations, services and supporting technology to promote quality and efficiency.
• Serve as liaison between clinical/clerical teams and technology partners to improve workflows.
• Provide leadership for staffing, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and performance management.
