Job summary

Memorial Health in Illinois is seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our team. The role handles incoming calls for five hospital sites, directing messages, and coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure timely communications.

The shift is 1:00pm–9:30pm with every other weekend rotation, in a busy hospital setting. Candidates should have a High School diploma and experience in telephone operations or a call center.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls for five hospital locations and determine appropriate resolution.
• Respond to internal and external calls promptly, forwarding as needed and notifying physicians and staff.
• Monitor alarm systems and communicate messages during after-hours and weekends.
• Maintain professional demeanor and reflect Memorial Health standards of safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency.
