As the high-level director, you will manage staffing, budgets, and inter-department collaboration, driving quality programs and ensuring service excellence in a complex healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electromechanical devices and general patient care equipment.
• Strong understanding of life-support and diagnostic devices used in healthcare.
• Familiarity with regulatory accrediting agencies and survey processes.
• Subject matter expert in Medical Equipment Management Program and related standards.
• Knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operation of Biomedical Engineering department and resident staff.
• Creates and assigns monthly maintenance workload and reports to facility leadership.
• Monitors service activities and ensures timely approvals of expenses and timecards.
• Ensures complete medical equipment inventory and standardized service documentation.
• Drives calibration and maintenance of facility test equipment per manufacturer requirements.
• Engages hospital IT and leadership on integrated systems management initiatives.
• Leads budgeting, capital planning, and repeat audits with hospital leadership.
