Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist II, Logistics in Chicago. This role handles inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail within the Supply Chain team, serving as a functional expert and collaborating with clinical staff on product changes.

The position offers a 40-hour week with a 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule, rotating weekends and holidays. It is non-exempt, eligible for overtime, with benefits starting the month after start date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two years of relevant work experience if no diploma.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Computer literacy; MMIS software experience preferred; able to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work for inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.
• Maintain data integrity using WaveMark and PeopleSoft.
• Resolve complex issues with problem-solving and escalate to SC Leadership when needed.
• Monitor daily activity to ensure policy compliance and safety.
• Participate in cost containment and process improvement initiatives.
• Train new employees on processes and policies.
• Represent Supply Chain in meetings and communicate with hospital personnel.
