Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist I in Materials Management. The role focuses on inventory ordering, replenishment, and daily logistics in a hospital setting, with attention to data integrity and process improvements.

The position supports clinical staff by ensuring timely supply availability, coordinating with leadership on issues, and maintaining safe, efficient work practices. The shift is Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; two years of relevant work experience accepted in lieu.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Proficient in computer use and able to learn various programs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Experience with WaveMark and/or PeopleSoft is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work for inventory, receiving, equipment, linen, and mail.
• Maintain data integrity in WaveMark and PeopleSoft systems.
• Assist with KPI monitoring and process improvement initiatives.
• Manage par levels and coordinate stocking with department staff.
• Support safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Communicate supply changes and issues to leadership.
