Job summary

Premier Healthcare at Harrington House in Walpole, MA is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs ensuring nurses have the knowledge and skills for high-quality resident care.

With a nursing degree or LPN/RN background and 2+ years of clinical experience, you will lead orientation, refresher trainings, and competency development while tracking attendance and ensuring regulatory compliance. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is included.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved LPN/RN program
• Minimum of two years of experience as an LPN or RN
• Eligible to participate in federally funded health care programs
• Must meet state requirements for licensure or certifications and have no disciplinary action
• Extensive knowledge of current standards of practice and regulations in long-term care
• Ability to teach and communicate knowledge effectively
• Must read/write/speak English
• Strong teamwork and positive role modeling
• Ability to make independent decisions and communicate with varied stakeholders
• No health or safety risk to residents or staff

Responsibilities

• Identify educational needs through facility assessments
• Develop and implement training plans addressing regulatory requirements and facility needs
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and oversee orientation programs for all personnel
• Develop and schedule refresher training as needed
• Track attendance and training completion
• Review educational content for current standards of practice and facility policies
• Identify and prioritize educational needs through comprehensive assessments
• Collaborate with Compliance Officer and facility leaders to develop training plans
• Collaborate with department managers to develop competencies
• Evaluate training program effectiveness with Administrator
• Maintain training records, reports, and materials
