The Sous Chef role supports the Executive Chef in daily operations, menu development, and ensuring high-quality, safe meals within a regulated healthcare environment. This is an opportunity to lead a skilled culinary team and drive patient-focused dining initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Progressive kitchen leadership experience in healthcare or institutional settings.
• Experience with patient/resident dining and therapeutic diets.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, safety standards, and nutrition-focused menus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing food, labor, and supply costs while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support menu planning and recipe development for patient, resident, and retail dining offerings.
• Oversee daily food preparation and production, ensuring consistency, proper portioning, presentation, and adherence to therapeutic diet requirements.
• Coordinate and execute special events, physician meetings, employee functions, and other catered healthcare hospitality services.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards.
