Abbott in Irving, TX is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the Core Labs division on site. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, performing verification, validation, and test execution, with close collaboration to development and quality teams to ensure robust releases.

You’ll lead exploratory testing, develop test datasets, and contribute to automation efforts while providing status updates and ensuring adequate test coverage throughout development user stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years' experience or more in a related field.
• Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Moderate understanding of test-driven methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate unexpected events, issues, or software bugs.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system-level field complaints.
• Report outcomes and plan test strategy.
• Verify fixes and complete SDLC testing.
• Develop test datasets and automation scripts.
• Review test plans and ensure sufficient test coverage.
