Abbott is hiring a Senior Software Integration Test Engineer for its Diagnostics Transfusion team. The role is based in Lake County, IL or Irving, TX, focusing on software integration testing for automated IVD systems used for blood and plasma screening.

You will collaborate with development teams and mentor juniors in an Agile environment. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in software/integration testing.
• Experience leading complex system and risk analysis.
• Data-driven decision making and stakeholder influence.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements and systems thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform software integration testing across the SDLC and coordinate with development teams.
• Develop integration test plans and scenarios for the target instrument in lab testing.
• Execute test activities for user stories in an Agile SDLC.
• Conduct exploratory testing and end-to-end system integration using day-to-day scenarios.
• Investigate issues, report defects, verify fixes, and mentor junior engineers.
• Travel up to 5% as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
