Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape architecture, strategy, and the technical direction of complex software across GE HealthCare products and platforms.

You will lead high-impact initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management, UX/UI, QA, and other teams to translate requirements into robust software solutions, ensuring performance and reliability across the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive software development experience with lead/principal role.
• Proven ability to design and build large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or Go and related frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to lead projects, influence technical direction, and mentor engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to convey complex concepts.
