Job summary

Akumin Inc. seeks a Lead Administrator for our Los Alamitos, CA facility.

You will partner with the Site Manager and Chief Technologist to oversee daily operations, staffing, payroll, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction, aiming to maximize quality and efficiency while meeting budget targets. You will lead process improvements, manage vendor relations, and coordinate with Revenue Cycle and Authorization teams to ensure accurate billing and timely exams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership.
• Experience in clinical management/operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytics and metrics experience.
• Willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Manages all operational aspects of the site(s) and service modalities including training, hiring, discipline, performance management, payroll, scheduling, onboarding, regulatory compliance, program planning and implementation, patient satisfaction.
• Provides ongoing communication to management and staff regarding center performance, staff performance, events, issues, etc.; delegates tasks and ensures completion.
• Administers quality programs and meets key quality and productivity measures in patient service, referral service, clinical programs, administrative functions, and service recovery.
• Order and maintain supply inventory; coordinate with Revenue Cycle and Authorization teams for accurate billing and exam precertification; oversee physician hospital billing documentation.
• Reports and coordinates repairs or service for medical equipment to maximize uptime and access to care.
• Cultivate relationships with top referrers to increase volume and ensure service needs are met.
