Zusammenfassung

Uniteklearning seeks a Simulation Lab Technician to maintain and operate simulation equipment, support instructors, and assist in developing manuals and schedules for healthcare education labs.

The role requires 1–2 years of simulation experience, an allied healthcare degree, and a willingness to obtain CHSOS certification within three years if not already certified. Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree in healthcare preferred; paramedic, medic, EMT, emergency tech, CNA, or hospital technician may be required.
• 1–2 years of simulation experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist® (CHSOS®) preferred (required to obtain within three years on the job, if not certified on hire).
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic environment based on changing policies, procedures and clinical needs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintains current knowledge of simulation/lab equipment and operation manuals.
• Programs simulator software to model physiological responses to instructor and scenario specifications.
• Operates computers and technical equipment for simulation scenarios.
• Maintains audio-visual and debriefing systems.
• Supports faculty and students with virtual reality equipment and updates.
• Demonstrates proper techniques and use of tools during simulation and skills labs.
• Performs simulations and provides orientation, assistance, training, and technical support to instructors.
• Prepares and maintains simulation and skills lab equipment, manikins, media, audio/visual, computers, and materials.
• Develops and demonstrates instructional best practices for manikins and equipment to elevate simulation experiences.
• Assists in development of simulation and skills lab manuals.
• Assists faculty in managing simulation and skills lab schedules.
• Provides technical support for task trainers and multimedia peripherals (medication dispensing systems, vital sign monitors, IV pumps, beds, patient monitors).
• Provides theatrical production (costuming/moulage) for scenarios as requested.
• Enforces safety and security of labs per procedures; maintains clean, safe areas.
• Maintains records and inventories, warranty info, maintenance schedules.
• Collaborates with students, staff, and faculty to solve problems and install new software/equipment.
