Job summary

The Cypress of Charlotte is seeking a warm Healthcare Server to join our dining team. You will help create a welcoming dining experience for health center residents by preparing and serving meals that align with individualized dietary needs.

This role supports full-time and part-time schedules, requires compassionate care, and offers a comprehensive benefits package in a resort-style retirement community setting in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Ability to understand, follow and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates per diet orders.
• Ability to work with residents, guests and staff; empathy for the elderly.
• Must read, write and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple desserts and salads with care.
• Serve meals in the health center with a friendly, attentive approach.
• Set up dining room tables before mealtimes and refresh them afterward.
• Deliver hot/cold foods and items to residents to support meal service.

Position: Healthcare Server, Full-time & Part-time

Schedules:

Full-time schedules include:

• Flexible availability to work work 1st and 2nd shifts including weekends.
• 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. including weekends.

Part-time schedule: 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and must be available on weekends.

Pay: $15 - 15.86 per hour (depending on experience) + $600 Sign On Bonus!

The Cypress of Charlotte is looking for a warm, service‑minded Healthcare Server to join our team! In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming dining experience for our health center residents by preparing and serving meals that match their individualized dietary needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare simple desserts and salads with care.
• Serve meals in the health center with a friendly, attentive approach.
• Set up dining room tables before mealtimes and clear/refresh them afterward.
• Delivers hot and cold foods and non-food items to residents at the health center to support a smooth meal service.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Fundamental working knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Ability to understand, follow and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
• Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and writteninstructions in English.
